The Problem

Cari is a professional and a single mum of three children working in the health industry. She came to the breakthrough training with two challenging areas of her life which were her weight and her career. She decided to focus on her weight as this had the greatest impact for the longest period of time. She remembered her first awareness of this as an issue aged 9 when she was shocked by a school photograph she saw of herself.

Despite having a thyroid issue that made weight loss difficult Cari was able to take responsibility for weight loss because she has dieted successfully several times. In her twenties she had had an extremely active job so had been at her slimmest then prior to her children. Since giving up that work which was her passion and starting a family she has been on diets regularly. She has however not managed to maintain her weight loss or hold to a diet beyond four weeks usually. She found that old habits would begin to drift in. Several things supported this drift. One was her friendship group which enjoyed a culture of judgement about slimmer people and heavy drinking, through which much of their bonding was made.

The Breakthrough

During the breakthrough process it became apparent that the main area of self programming causing the problem for Cari was her constant running internal commentary of name calling and undermining that had been created in her childhood. Using the Time line protocols negative emotions were removed enabling Cari to become aware of what she was saying and how that affected her ability to create a positive life day to day. A new vibrant future was set and targets made to ensure the correct actions are taken from now on by Cari.

The Outcome

At followup coaching Cari reported having the self confidence to allow a new relationship to start to flourish and is eating healthier. She  is excited again about her future. She is ready to be in this new relationship as a committed partner whilst at the same time maintaining her independence so as not to become complacent. She can now focus on building her career and independent income, feeling good about herself and how she looks.
