Making the world a better place
Posted 13th September 2021, 09:32amThose are some big questions, and we can’t always know the answer. But one thing we can all do is to work to make the world a better place. But how do we do that?
The effect of the pandemic
I was recently talking to a friend about how the world has changed in the last 18 months. Divisions have sprung up, polarised opinions have caused rifts in families and friendships, and things are just generally very confusing. We want to do what’s best for us, for our families, for society… but everyone seems to have a difference of opinion on how to do that.
Right now, we’re constantly being bombarded with information from every direction. There is so much input from a variety of both reliable, and unreliable sources, and it’s sometimes difficult to know which is which. Social media only exacerbates all of this, until we feel as though the limitations being placed on us are controlling the directions we can choose to go.
My contribution
This conversation got me thinking about how I can make the best choices within the current framework, and how I might be able to help make the world better through those choices.
I realised that my path has led me to a place where I can help people to be the best version of themselves, and therefore make the best of their own lives. In doing so, it is my hope that this will create a ripple effect that goes on to make the world better in thousands of ways - big and small.
TRU Breakthrough
TRU Breakthrough helps people to find meaning, and to live more fulfilling lives. I help people to fulfill their full potential.
Using powerful neuro linguistic programming (NLP) techniques, I can help you to identify the beliefs that are keeping you locked in a pattern of limiting decisions and negative thinking. By doing so, you can get rid of the baggage that holds you back from being your best self.
Making a difference
When we choose to make a positive change in ourselves, it has a positive effect on the world and the people around us.
Division and understanding
There is so much conflict and division in the world, especially in the current climate. Breakthrough helps you to understand yourself better, and hold your boundaries without feeling the need to impose your ideals and opinions onto others, or allowing their opinions to have a negative effect on you.
This means you are better equipped to show tolerance and understanding to those around us, even when you might disagree with them. This in turn sets an example that others will hopefully follow.
Better relationships
When you can show a greater level of understanding to those around you, you’ll find that you’re able to enjoy better, healthier relationships with them. It becomes easier to avoid direct confrontation, and makes you more capable of listening to others, and helping them.
This makes you a better friend, partner, parent, and family member and will positively impact those around you. It also allows you to enter new relationships with less baggage, giving them a better chance of success in the long term.
So many people are feeling isolated and cast adrift right now. Once you have dealt with your own issues and learned how to hold your boundaries, it is easier to show empathy to others, rather than cutting them off and closing the door on them.
Positivity
When you let go of your baggage, and sort out your own demons, you are generally happier. This means that you are more able to project positivity outwards, and inspire others to be more positive too. As this good attitude spreads outward, it will help more and more people.

Be the calm in the storm
Breakthrough helps you to make peace with yourself, and put boundaries in place that help you to keep the negativity and drama of others at arm’s length (whilst still being able to show empathy and care). This means that when everything around you feels chaotic, you are better equipped to stay calm, and approach situations with a more rational, helpful mindset.
